In December 2017, the owners of Coliation Restaurant took on a new endeavor, opening Italian restaurant Red Sauce Rebellion in Excelsior, Minnesota.
The restaurant features popular Italian dishes with a bit of a twist, including fritto misto, charred oysters, baked ziti, pappardelle and much more. Their goal is to bring and unexpected variation to the classic red and white sauce dishes while maintaining their simplicity and deliciousness.
Wilkus Architects was pleased to have been a part of this project, providing design consultation and permitting for the restaurant remodel. The General Contractor on this project was Dering Pierson Group, and the beautiful, rustic-chic space came together with the assistance of Interior Designer Cynthia O’Connor.
